Vision & Mission

The vision of the NPO is:

The establishment of an integrated, nurturing early childhood development centre within which all attending children and their families may thrive and prosper spiritually, academically, physically, emotionally, and socially.

The mission of the NPO is:

To provide attending children (and their parents) with the necessary tools to ensure their development, build their resilience and improve their cognitive skills to enable them to reach their full potential.
To establish a joyous, supportive environment created by excellent qualified teachers and staff.
To support the spiritual, academic, physical, emotional, and social development of each child.
To foster inclusivity through appreciation and respect, and value all children as well as their families and cultures.
To foster an ecological approach to each child’s growth and development by promoting, facilitating, and providing support to families and communities.

Unemployment in South Africa stands at 31.9%

South Africa has the world’s most unequal education system.

Only 10% of ECD teachers in townships are qualified.

A third of SA is in Poverty. This means income is less than R370 a month.

Full Day Program

Children are received from 7am in the morning and provided a meal for breakfast. Our formal academic program starts at 8am and follows the WCED ECD curriculum. Organized play and extra mural activities form an integral part of our daily program. Regular excursions and educational talks by important community role players expose our learners to valuable lessons regarding health and safety. All learners are provided a daily lunch. Aftercare, tuition, religious studies, and arts & crafts are provided to both ECD and afternoon development students. Skills development programs and workshops are provided to parents and members of the broader community. Qualified social workers assist families struggling with alcohol and drug addiction, gender based violence, crime, unemployment, and other social challenges within the community. Special outreach programs include feeding during the month of Ramadaan, Winter schools during school holidays and social outings. We assist communities with food parcels as often as our budget permits.

Legal Status

Majority of funds received are irregular monetary donations, government subsidies towards staff salaries only, some small business contributions, donations in kind for example cooked food, volunteer skills / expertise and strategic partnerships with other NGOs. 100% of the funds are plowed back into the organization for the growth and development of the recipients i.e. the learners, their families, staff and an extension of the community. The organization’s books are audited and submitted to the Department of Social Development as part of its compliance. Finance

The finances of the organization are managed by a qualified registered accountant. 100% of the funds are plowed back into the organization for the growth and development of the recipients. We are registered with SARS and we can provide section 18 tax certification on request.
